I have always wanted to travel to Europe. Why Europe you may ask? Well, I love languages and where else can you find so many languages spoken in such a small area and also so much history and commerce? The countries I am most interested in visiting are Spain, France, Britain (my brother went to visit there and loved it), and also a little off to the side, the Czech Republic (mostly due to my fiance's family heritage).
In the spirit of traveling, I have often thought about going to the Math in Moscow program or the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics (I have even thought about the MAA Mathematical Study Tour), but soon-to-be married me is also a little tied down at the moment and fears that traveling far away without my significant other may pose too much of a financial strain on our relationship plus I would hate to be so far away for an entire semester. Being away at Michigan State for one summer was enough to show us how much we dislike spending long periods of time away from each other. But mostly, it costs a lot of money to travel and I don't have that kind of money right now. Maybe I will never have that kind of money, :(, but let's hope that is not the case.
