Not cool

Ok, I had a graduate school application due on Jan. 1st. The good news is that I had finished it on time and everything.

The bad news: As I was looking for my updated Baptismal Certificate because my fiance's church wants it to insure that I am in fact a Catholic, I found the fax receipt for my transcript request form... which I had read the wrong way. The fax had actually failed instead of going through. My aunt's fax machine was new to me, so this is roughly understandable. But I feel like a dunce for finishing my application, paying the application fee and not getting my stuff done on time apparently.

So I'm at a loss, what should I do? I can still send in my stuff, I think, but I do not know if I'll be considered for fellowships and what not like everyone else. I feel like I should e-mail the secretary that everything is supposed to go to, but the information on the website is messed up anyways and I don't want to e-mail her and say (in essence): (a) your website is misleading and the links are wrong, (b) I don't think my letters of recommendation are heading your way either because of (a), (c) my transcript stuff is messed up, so that's going to be late and (d) by the way, I don't think I sent my GRE score reports to you guys either - so can you hold on that too???

I feel so stupid and small right now. The good news is that I'll be much more careful about future applications. Of which 3 are due on January 15th. Wish me luck and hope that I don't go crazy while watching the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl... not my choice for entertainment, but I have no where else to go right now.

Yes, what Vito said. Just send it. After all, they are academics and know ALL about missed deadlines. Good luck!!!

Agreed. Send it whatever you have as soon as possible, and don't worry about it.
