News is buzzing around this British college student who decided to earn $1 million by selling adspace on his website for $1 a pixel. I heard about this story yesterday from my fiance and decided to search for it, wasn't too hard to find actually.
An interview with the student talks about how he came up with the idea for his site. He even has a blog about the whole thing, the post for Dec. 30th has some links to other news stories about it.
He even has a new nickname "pixel student" which is actually how I found him by doing a google search for "pixels for $1 college fund" (no quotation marks).
I've often wondered about using the internet to make money, but alas I am going to have to try the hard way. If I don't get moving about these graduate school applications, it's the job market for me... :(.
Either a teacher or a professional tutor or something of that sort, I want to take some classes if it comes down to that - but budgets/finances may not allow that to happen and I'll be doing independent study Real Analysis or something, mostly in preparation for the GRE Subject test or something. How much preparation can one person do?

Good luck with the prep stuff; there's no way to make that fun. :-)
