The Sower within

For the past couple of days, even though I haven't blogged about it, I've been thinking about making my own purse.

When I was little, my parents made me sew our pillows when they were broken, and I fix my pants and other clothes when there are problems, so I've been thinking about making my own purse for a while. I really want to look into using a sewing machine for this.

I want it to be reversable, blue satin on one side and a black some type of fabric on the other. I want it to have pockets on the inside, so no matter what side you have it flipped to you can still use pockets.

I also want it to have a small handle that you would attach, and detach if you wanted, using buttons.

A random search through the internet for a viable pattern for this imaginary purse turns up with no avail. Google has failed me in finding nice purse patterns...

I did, however, find some interesting sites anyways. :D.

If I wanted to use a zipper.

Go for free handbag and purse patterns ... although not the kind I want.

If I give up on the purse idea, I can always make a ribbon belt.

They have great fabrics, but I pity the person who wants to make this special occasion beaded bag.

Please tell me people don't actually go to the prom with this.

A pattern for a clutch purse, the closest nice thing I found.

This site has a load of links to other sites with free patterns, just in case you wanted a casserole cozy ...

More links in the comments section coming soon...
