2 Weeks

Wow. I have not blogged in a while (again) and it is starting to really nag at me. I have a lot of blog post ideas in my head, but the first and foremost thing I should do is update before I move on to stories of woe and excitement.

It does not feel like I am beginning my 2nd week of being a college graduate. It was sort of exciting the day of graduation, but really I do not feel very different. I feel a little bit more lazy, since now I do not have a job and I do not have any real source of income. My fiance had asked me to find a job, while completing all the finishing touches on the wedding, and I told him he was crazy.

I would like to have some sort of job, but staying at home (playing online games) and doing wedding stuff (when the server for my online game is down) it just a little more relaxing and settling.

I went in for my first dress fitting yesterday. I barely fit into my dress. I have not been eating very well and (because of the online game) I have not been exercising at all either. My fiance and I are supposed to go walking every day, but that has been a bust. We're thinking about moving apartments, and if we do I think walking every day would be more likely because there is a park right next door to the other apartment complex.

So things are kind of dull over here. I have been looking for a job (sort of), but not very excited about it. I have a position for the fall (horray TAship!) and am very excited about that. The people at the department are very nice, I went to visit sometime last week to drop off some essential paperwork. Their fax machine was not working and I had to drive (30 minutes, not bad - but gas prices!?! Yikes) to get there. Well, my fiance drove because I still do not know how to drive. But they were very nice about it and calmed me down a little bit about it. I would have felt bad (and ackward) getting mad at them (especially since I will be spending 2 years in that department and I will need letters of recommendation later, etc.). My fiance wanted to go in there and yell at them because he thought they were stupid (sometimes fax machines can be funky), but I told him that was a very bad idea because... well department secretaries run departments (practically) and making enemies is not what I want to do right now.

So that's the drama, or lack thereof, right now. More on the cousin's wedding and some bonding with my maid of honor later. Right now I should clean up some and start making address labels for our invitations. I made this awesome RSVP card to match the invitation, I really like it, and we'll see how that goes. My fiance's mom asked me, "are you going to put postage on the RSVP cards?", and I said, "yes" - she freaked out. "Not everyone is going to send those back to you," well if I sent out invitations with that attitude I would not send out any invitations on the premise that not everyone is coming... RSVP cards will be sent out, I am hoping for a big response because I want to collect all the postcards (they are RSVP postcards) and put them in a book or something. I think it's a cool idea, don't know how it'll go off with everyone else though.

So yeah, hope to hear from everyone soon. I know I've been MIA, but I really will be posting more often since everything is pretty much dead for me right now. I have to get in the study mode again after all is said and done. But to do that comfortably there are a lot of things that need to be fixed around the house and that will be very interesting to see if we can manage. Geez, there's a lot of stuff to do.
