After spending some hours trying to find a hack (again), I (again) came up hack-less. No Calendar hack for me.
What I did find though, is on top of the normal send them a request stuff, you can now vote for features you'd like to see. When you visit this page, you will be given these choices:
Vote for a feature:
I want a way to organize posts by topic or category.
I only want certain people to be able to see my blog or posts.
I want to show excerpts of my posts, with links to the full text.
I want to export/import my posts to/from another blogging tool.
I want to use a custom domain name with my Blog*Spot blog.
I want to be able to upload other files to my blog besides images.
I want to display my posts in reverse, or non-chronological order.
I want to be a blog of note.
Or suggest a new feature:
So go... now... not later, right now and suggest something. Hopefully, you are still on my side and would like to see a Calendar feature added to blogger. I think it would really help them out. I know I could make a calendar given enough time, but heck, it should be a feature I can plug in and out instead of mechanically inputing it into a table.
This is an option, but it's just about as bad as manually creating categories. Very long and very ineffective. Any programmers out there that want to give this a whirl? There has to be some way to do this.

I forgot to mention one promising page that I did find, but I can't make some of the preliminary changes to enable the hack.
http://www.sephiroth.it/tutorials/flashPHP/calendar/index.php has a hack, although the Archive Filename thing is an option I can't change (this option is entirely unavailable to me).
That calendar looks very difficult to install. I would think you need a blog on your own hosting to do all that stuff.
On the Blogger suggestions page, I wrote into the "other" category: XHTML and CSS Standards compliance. I can live without the calendar for a while :-)
