I never thought...

I always thought I was the kind of person that doesn't really do anything (anyone who actually knows me and is reading this is probably thinking - "yeah right..."), but I really thought it would be important for me to set a personal limit on the amount of blogging I do every day.

I haven't put a blog up since monday, so I'm going to break that rule. Just for today, just for you guys.

So... let's start with Father's Day. Oh man, I forgot to send out those cards... I've got to do that today.

So on Saturday, I don't remember if I mentioned this, I went to a Magic: The Gathering 5K qualifier, that was a bust. This weekend, we are going to Houston to go to a Regional tournament. I will probably spend hours in the hotel room sorting through cards and updating the computer database I made for his cards to, hopefully, keep him/them organized.

I've been cleaning the apartment, sort of, and we are in major need of organization here.

More about organization later...

My fiance had a job interview yesterday and on Tuesday we went to go get his hair cut at the mall. It's really short, but I think I can deal with that because it really doesn't look half bad. Usually, he has this 12 year old look after he gets his hair cut, but I'm glad he doesn't look that way this time - especially since he had that interview.

He said it went alright, I really don't know (as I wasn't sitting in the room), but I'm glad it's over. He's a lot more relaxed now.

This friday is one of his friend's birthdays, and we are missing the party for regionals. We're supposed to go play pool tonight to celebrate instead. I'm happy with that because I can get some drinks at the pool hall, hopefully a cocktail. I haven't tried any cocktails yet, so I'm very excited. My brother, well really his fiance, told me I should have a cosmopolitan for my 21st. I had a mudslide from Applebee's instead.

During the school year, me and my friends all go to Applebee's for their Karokee night and I have been staring at that drink ever since I first saw it. Now I know I really like it. There is a lot of Ice Cream in it, and I really like Ice Cream, and it's really fattening. But what drinks aren't?

On the subject of alcohol, how can guys (and some girls), really how can anyone like beer? The taste, g-nasty. The texture, not that great either. Maybe someone who loves beer can enlighten me as to why they like it. I can see the cost benefits, in terms of drinking alcohol period. Beer is much cheaper than mixed drinks and hard liquor, but can you really give up that much for money.

I mean, we all give up certain luxuries for money. Take Top Ramen for example. Millions, ok maybe thousands, of college students eat Top Ramen not because they like it but because you can buy it for 12/$1 (if you cannot find Top Ramen for 12/$1 plz notify me and we'll work out a shipment plan so you too can get really cheap Top Ramen). But not many people actually like it.

I OD'd on it sophomore year and can't stand it any more. For that reason, and the fact that there is a Pizza Hut a block away from the school, I have become a pizza junkie. It's horrible and unhealthy, I know, but I can't really do anything about it.

More on compromise issues that came up and the "Prepare Questionaire" in the next blog.

That's all for now folks,
- V.
